Application for Craniofacial Program


The craniofacial division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery provides 2 kinds of programs for international visiting scholar:


Observership Program

In this program , you may stay in our division for a maximum of 3 months. You may observe the clinic activities, including surgery, but you may not scrub in. Application for the observership usually takes around 6 months in order to complete all the paperwork. A dormitory will be provided during the duration of the program.

 
Fellowship program
 

1. Duration: at least six months
2. Selection: six fellows per year
3. Scholarship: not always available
(please inquire during application process)
4. Quallification: Completion of resident training with an additional year working as a specialist in any of the following: plastic surgery, ENT, or oromaxillofacial surgery.
Must be board-certified specialist.
5. Rotation arrangement: rotation will be arranged based on your interests. The specialties that we focus on are:
primary and secondary cleft surgeries, orthognathic surgeries, sleep apnea related surgical interventions, and auricular reconstruction.

6. Mission team: Might have the opportunity to join us on international cleft missions.

The fellowship application interview process will be broken down into two stages: online interview and face-to-face interview. The online interview will be held twice a year. The face-to-face interview will depend on the international conferences/workshops held during the application year. Only after having finished both online interview and face-to-face interview will the interview process be completed.
